Refund process

Following our announcement to postpone Durham 2020, we can now confirm the process for claiming refunds if you can’t join us in the summer of 2022.

Groups

We hope that you’ll be able to join us in the summer of 2022 but we recognise that each group will have a different set of circumstances. Here’s what you now need to do:

  1. Take a look at the three options available to you (see below).
  2. Talk to your parents and other leaders to decide which option suits you best.
  3. Tell us how you’d like to proceed by logging into your account. You’re booking reference and password are contained in your booking confirmation.
  4. Make sure you tell us by the end of May 2020, after which point we won’t be able to process any refunds.
  5. We’ll process any refunds (if applicable) by the end of June 2020.

There are three options available:

Keep your booking
If you’ve already provided them, we’ll remove any participant names, DOBs and T-Shirt sizes from your booking. Your numbers stay the same and we’ll be back in touch towards the end of 2021 to gather details of your group at this time. This option allows you to keep your places at Durham 2020 and keep your participants engaged.

There is no need to do anything at this stage.

Keep your booking but reduce your numbers
If you’ve already provided them, we’ll remove any participant names, DOBs and T-Shirt sizes from your booking. You can reduce the number of participants on your booking and you’ll get a refund for these places, minus £6.50 per Scout/Explorer participant and £1 per Beaver/Cub participant. This option allows you to keep your places at Durham 2020, keep your participants engaged but allow some of your group to recieve a refund.

Cancel your booking entirely
We’ll cancel your booking and refund your places, minus £6.50 per participant and £1 per Beaver/Cub participant. You won’t be guaranteed a place at our 2022 event and you’ll need to make a new booking if you’d like to join us.

Staff

We hope that you’ll be able to join us in the summer of 2022 but we recognise that everyone will have a different set of circumstances. Here’s what you now need to do:

  1. Take a look at the two options available to you (see below).
  2. Tell us how you’d like to proceed by logging into your account.
  3. Make sure you tell us by the end of May 2020, after which point we won’t be able to process any refunds.
  4. We’ll process any refunds (if applicable) by the end of June 2020 onto the debit/creditcard you used to make your booking.

There are two options available:

Keep your booking
If you’ve up for joining our fantastic staff team in 2020, then this is the option for you. We’ll keep your booking and you’re part of the team.
Cancel your booking entirely
We’ll cancel your booking and refund your fees to the debit/credit card you used when you booked.
