Wolsingham Show Ground

Our venue for the week is the stunning Wolsingham Show Ground in the Wear valley. It hosts Durham’s biggest agricultural show each year but in the summer of 2020 will be home to over 2000 Scouts from around the world.
The 60 acre site is set in beautiful countryside and is easily accessed from the main road with its own dedicated entrance and plenty of drop-off and parking space. It’s a flat, grass site and is bordered by the River Wear to the South. We’ll be taking over most of the show ground and creating an exciting tented village including:
- Five sub-camps plus one for staff which will be everyone’s home for the week. Each sub-camp will have toilets, showers and safe drinking water, plus a sub-camp HQ and stage.
- A village centre containing shops, facilities, entertainment venues and a large main stage.
- Three activity zones with exciting and adventurous activities available all week.
- And all the facilities you need to welcome 2000 people including first aid.
There will be a real buzz around the site as you explore everything on offer and hear languages from around the world.
